Tanzania Safaris

Tanzania is a land of many things and is the largest country within east Africa. It takes the largest share of Lake Victoria which is the largest lake in Africa. Tanzania is a socially and politically stable country. It is a home to Africa’s highest mountain which attracts a lot of tourists every year.

Tanzania is the ultimate African safari destination in terms of wildlife; it has a lot to offer to travellers. Some of the attractions include; the great migration of wildebeests, antelopes and zebras, Ngorongoro crater, cultural and historical experience at stone town in Zanzibar, animals, primates and various bird species. These attractions are in different regions of the country and every region has something unique to offer.

Southern Tanzania Safaris

The southern Tanzania safari will take you through Selous game reserve. This is the largest conservation area in Africa. Selous game reserve is 4 times the size of the better-known Serengeti in northern Tanzania. Selous Reserve is simply vast, and has the largest concentration of Elephants, not only in Africa, but in the whole world.   Its covers an area of about 55,000 square kilometers  and is a World Heritage Site,  boasting some of the most exclusive and pioneering boating safaris that  African safari lovers can enjoy. Some of the activities done in the park include; game drive, bird watching, nature walks, boat cruise.

Northern Tanzania Safaris

The northern safaris will take you through the ‘northern circuit’ which is made up of Lake Manyara national park, Ngorongoro national park, Serengeti national park, and Tarangire national park.

Lake Manyara is a relatively small park, renowned for the astounding spectacle of its tree-climbing lions and the estimated one million pink flamingoes which give the shallow soda lake a vast, magnificent pink blush. The park is about 400 bird species.

Tarangire national park is one of Tanzania safari jewels and is well worth including it on your bucket list. The park is a home to large numbers of elephants. However this is not the only reason to visit the park, lions, leopard and cheetah, as well as a variety of antelopes can as well be seen.

The Ngorongoro Crater which is a UNESCO world heritage site, where viewing all of the Big Five on a single day is a real possibility. This area is not only home to a marvelous variety of wildlife, where sightings of rhino and large lion prides are quite likely, but they share this protected area with the legendary Maasai people – a proud African tribe.

Serengeti National park is undoubtedly the world’s most famous national park, and it is here where the great, awe-inspiring annual migration of the wildebeest and antelopes between the Serengeti and the Maasai Mara takes place between August and October.  Serengeti is one of African places to sight lots of wildlife.

Western Tanzania safaris

This safari will take you through western Tanzania in Mahale and Gombe national parks. These parks are a home to chimpanzees which share 98%of humans DNA making them our immediate cousins. You will expect to spot chimps while on your western safari. Apart from chimpanzee tracking, you can as well participate in nature walks, birding, boat cruise, swimming and snorkelling

Zanzibar beach tour

At the end of your African safari, you could add a little more fun to your trip by visiting Zanzibar Island. While there you can participate in snorkeling and scuba diving in the clear waters of the Indian Ocean. Cultural and historical tour its old town (the stone town of Zanzibar) which was a main market for slave trade. A combination of the Tanzania wildlife safari and Zanzibar beaches would make the whole trip exciting and memorable.
